Select this parameter to compute the area of objects (blobs) based on the number of foreground pixels. If the image is spatially calibrated, the number of pixels is multiplied by the scaled pixel area. If objects contain holes, the holes do not contribute to the area of the objects. In the filed measurements this parameter measures the total area of objects in each phase.
