Eraser Tool

Toolbar:   draweraser

Use this tool to erase changes made with ImageWarp's drawing tools since the image was placed into the frame. When you click the Eraser Tool button and move the cursor over an image frame, the cursor will take shape of an eraser. Press the left mouse button and drag the cursor to revert the pixels previously changed with ImageWarp's drawing tools back to their original values. If you want to constrain an erased segment to a straight line, click the left mouse button to anchor the starting point, hold down the SHIFT key and move the cursor, clicking the mouse button every time you want to set a new anchor point. If you want to constrain an erased segment to a vertical or horizontal line, press the left mouse button and hold down the CTRL key while dragging the cursor. Note that if you apply any of ImageWarp's image-processing functions to an image, the changes made with the drawing tools before will become irreversible for the Eraser Tool. You can select the size and intensity of the eraser by moving the Brush size and Brush intensity sliders respectively on the Palette Bar
and watch the changes in the brush tip sample. If you double-click the brush tip sample, the Tool Settings dialog box will appear with the following options that concern the Eraser Tool:

Size

Move the slider to set the width of the eraser or indicate the desired value in pixels.

Intensity

Move the slider to set the level of transparency or indicate the desired value in per cent. The higher you set the intensity, the closer the pixels previously changed with the drawing tools will get to their original values.

Hardness

Move the slider to set the sharpness of the eraser outline or indicate the desired value in per cent. To make the edges of the eraser more defined or softer, increase or decrease the value respectively.

Spacing

Move the slider to set the distance between the eraser strokes or indicate the desired value as a percentage of the brush size. To make an erased line continuous or skipping, decrease or increase the value respectively.

In the pane on the left, you can see how the Size, Intensity, and Hardness options will affect the eraser. Note that Intensity is reflected in reverse: the darker is the preview, the more dilution will be applied to the changes. Below this window, there is a drop-down list where you can select the shape of the eraser.

You can apply the Eraser Tool to the whole image by double clicking on the image while holding down the CTRL key.
