Script:   adjLevels  

Use this command to perform the linear scaling of an image according to the selected thresholds. You can view the tonal range of an image using the historgram display
above the sliders. If you choose this command, the Levels dialog box will appear with the following options:

Input
 
Displays the input image frame number. If you want to adjust the brightness levels linear scaling of another image, type or select the corresponding value.  

Output
 
Displays the number of the frame in which the output image will be created. Depending on the Preferences. ImageWarp will set it either to the first available value or to the Input frame number. Type or select another value if you want the output image to be created in a different frame.  

Mode
 
Lets you choose the mode of changing the settings.  
 
Click Dialog to move the sliders with the mouse or indicate the desired values in the corresponding boxes.  
 
Click Mouse to change the Input levels simultaneously by moving your mouse. Moving the mouse upward makes the Max and Min sliders move right and left respectively. Moving the mouse downward makes the Max and  
 
Min sliders move left and right respectively. Moving the mouse leftward or rightward makes both of the Input levels sliders move left or right respectively. To apply the changes, press the left mouse button. To switch to the  
 
Dialog mode, press the right mouse button. Note that if the AdjLevels function was called from the script with the MOUSE mode selected, the dialog box will not appear.  
 
Click Preset if you want to generate a script command that will apply the function without displaying the Levels dialog box. Select the desired values by using the sliders or corresponding boxes, and then click Apply. Make sure the Script Editor is in the Record mode. The AdjLevels function will be recorded into the script with the selected levels, and its Mode parameter will be set to AUTO.  

Input levels
 
Let you set the darkest and lightest pixel in the input image to be mapped to the output levels. To adjust the input levels of the intensity, move the Max and Min sliders respectively or indicate the desired values in the respective boxes on the right. Increasing the minimum input level will make the shadows on the image darker. Decreasing the maximum input level will make the highlights on the image brighter.  

Output levels
 
Lets you select the levels of black and white in the output image. To adjust the output minimum and maximum levels of the intensity, move the Max and Min sliders respectively or indicate the desired values in the respective boxes on the right. Increasing the minimum output level will raise the level of black in the output image. Decreasing the maximum output level will lower the level of white in the output image.  

OK
 
Closes the dialog box and applies the function.
