Use this command to view image information and modify certain information fields. If you choose this command, the Image Information dialog box will appear.

Frame

Displays the number of the active image frame. If you want to see information about another image, type the number of the corresponding image frame.

Title

Displays the title of the active image. This field can be modified to change the title. By default, the title consists of the original file name of the active image plus the last image processing function separated by an underscore. For instance, if the image was loaded from the file "myimage.tif" and the last operation performed on the image was Sharpen, the title will be "myimage_sharpen".

Path

Displays the path to the file associated with the active image. Normally, the path points to a folder from which the original image was loaded. If the image was acquired from the video device or pasted from the Clipboard, the path will contain no folder until the image is saved.

Type

Displays the type of the active image. (See Image Types for more details.)

Bits/pixel

Displays the number of bits per pixel in the active image. (See Image Types for more details.)

Modified

Displays whether the active image has been modified since it was opened.

Channels

Displays the number of channels in the active image.

Bytes/line

Displays the number of bytes per line in the active image.

Memory

Displays the amount of RAM in bytes the active image occupies.

Width

Displays the width of the active image in pixels and in the calibrated units, as well as the ratio of the calibrated unit per pixel.

Hight

Displays the height of the active image in pixels and in the calibrated units, as well as the ratio of the calibrated unit per pixel.

Origin

Displays the location of the origin of the active image coordinate system. The horizontal and vertical values of the origin pixel are displayed as the X and Y values respectively.

Display Range

These settings allow you to map the specified luminance range of a high-depth image to the full dynamic range of the display. Select the luminance value you want to display black as the Minimum value, and the value you want to display white as the Maximum value. By default, both values are set to the full range possible for the current image type. For regular pixel depth images, the display range is set to 0-255, and it cannot be changed, so the Display Range settings will be unavailable.

OK

Closes the dialog box and applies the settings.

Cancel

Closes the dialog box without performing any action.
