Use the Measure menu to perform spatial and optical calibration of images, and to conduct interactive and automatic measurements.


Before you start collecting measurement data, you have to calibrate your image in order to map pixel coordinates and/or values to the engineering units of the physical world.

Click… To… Spatial Calibration define spatial scale for an image. Intensity Calibration define intensity scale for an image. Parameters define parameters for automatic measurements. Blobs Interactive perform Interactive blob measurements. Blobs Automatic perform automatic blob and field measurements. Count count objects on an image. Points perform point measurements. Lines perform line measurements. Angles perform angular measurements. Contours perform contour measurements. Curves perform measurements of curves.
