Status Bar

The Status Bar appears along the lower edge of the ImageWarp workspace and provides the general purpose information about the active image and program status. The information provided is a function of the mouse position. The Status Bar contains the following fields in the order from left to right:

Quick help field

Shows a brief description of a selected menu item or a tip on using a selected tool. When a selection or graphic element is being drawn, this field displays the coordinates of the start and end points of the selection or graphic element.

Progress field

Displays one or more progress indicators when processing functions are executing.

Dimension field

Displays the width and height of the active image or its selection in pixels. If the active document is a table, this field displays the number of rows and columns in the table or selected area of the table.

Cursor Position field

Reports X and Y coordinates of the mouse pointer. If the Calibrated units option in the Preferences is selected and the spatial calibration has been set for the active image, this field displays the calibrated cursor position in relation to the spatial scale of the image. Otherwise the cursor coordinates are expressed in pixels relative to the top left corner of the active image.

Spatial Unit field

Displays the name of the spatial calibration unit for the active image. If the spatial calibration has not been set or no unit assigned for the calibration scale, this field will be empty.

Pixel Value field

Reports the value of the pixel identified by the mouse pointer. The format of data displayed depends on the active image type. For a gray image, each pixel value is represented by a single number, while for an RGB image it is a triad of numbers. For palettized images the index value is displayed in addition to the RGB intensities. If the Calibrated units option in the Preferences is selected and the intensity calibration has been set for the active image, this field displays the calibrated pixel value. Otherwise the actual pixel value will be reported.

Intensity Unit field

Displays the name of the intensity calibration unit for the active image. If the intensity calibration has not been set or no unit assigned for the intensity scale, this field will be empty.

Benchmark field

Displays the execution time of the last processing function. The precision of benchmark measurements is 1 millisecond. If the Video window is active, this field will report the current frame rate in frames per second.

Execution field

Displays the blinking symbol of lightning when the script or processing function is being executed.

Processing Status field

Displays the current processing status of ImageWarp. If no script or processing function is running, this field will read "Idle". Otherwise it will report the number of processing functions being executed at the same time.
